Connecting workshop experience with electrical-machine theory

Motor Analyzer is an individual educational project informed by my industrial-motor maintenance and testing experience at Yeocheon Electric. I wanted to connect the machines I had handled with the relationships between speed, slip and load that I was studying at university.

Exploring changing operating conditions

The simulator connects supply frequency and pole count to synchronous speed, and relates rotor speed to slip. Inputs and operating states provide a way to examine those relationships through interaction rather than equations alone.

Implementation and my contribution

I used React and Vite for the interface, Three.js for motor visualization, and Electron for Windows distribution. Start, stop and emergency-stop states are connected to the displayed operation. I handled requirements, calculation review, interface implementation and distribution, using software development tools while checking calculations against electrical-machine theory.

Scope

This is an educational simulator. It has not been validated with manufacturer-specific design data or measured equipment tests and should not be used for equipment selection or protection settings. The linked repository records source changes.
