MobiGuarantee
An AI project measuring excess travel time to essential destinations and comparing interventions under limited transport resources.

Measuring access through travel time
MobiGuarantee is a team AI hackathon prototype addressing access to essential destinations. More stops or routes do not necessarily mean a shorter usable journey. We focused on destination travel time to describe local mobility problems and compare possible interventions.
Defining Mobility Debt
Mobility Debt expresses travel time above a chosen threshold. Connecting destinations and network information helps identify concentrated travel burdens. Comparing alternatives also requires clear resource constraints and an explicit evaluation criterion.
Computation and AI explanation
The prototype connects Python-based processing and analysis to an interface using the OpenAI API. The design distinguishes numerical analysis from natural-language interpretation: AI can help interpret a question and explain results, while travel times and improvement figures need to follow from data and computation.
Contribution and result
I participated in AI- and data-driven problem solving and prototype development. The team won the Grand Prize at the Ulsan–Incheon interregional AI hackathon for regional problem solving.
Current scope
This is a hackathon prototype, not a deployed transport service or a demonstrated policy impact. Data dates, walking and transfer assumptions, and budget constraints affect comparisons. Equal-budget alternatives, multiple-scenario evaluation and data validation were identified as further development work.
